Originally started in 1977 the Tocumwal Foreshore Market was a grow, make and sell your own produce style of market and averaged 77 sites per market. The Foreshore Committee took over in the early 1990's and now in its 25th year the Foreshore markets run for ten months of the year.
Starting in October, NSW Labour Day weekend through to the our Winter Festival weekend in July. On an average there are up to 200 sites per market, with many more at holiday times. Sites can be booked in advance, with sites costing only $25.00. Site holders need to be on site by 7.30am.
Tocumwal Foreshore Committee is a NON profit organisation consisting of a small enthusiastic group, who are responsible for the area from the Town Beach to the Old Bridge in Tocumwal. They have always been responsible for maintenance, refurbishment and replacement of fittings or equipment and all improvements throughout this area. Originally the group fund raised money to cover all works done in the park but Today the group run the very popular Foreshore Markets with all the profits going towards the upkeep and improvements in the park and the surrounding areas.
Tocumwal Foreshore Committee request that you refrain from bringing your dogs to the markets. Whilst we are not in a position to enforce this ban we do hope that locals & visitors alike will adhere to our request in the hope that it will keep the markets accident free and a pleasure for all to attend.
